This tour is a unique experience in Italy that starts in Venice and ends on Italy's Amalfi Coast.  Highlights of this tour include: Islands in the Venetian Lagoon, the galleries of Florence, private tour through Tuscany with visits to some of Italy's top wineries, Ancient Rome, Vatican City, Private tour of the Amalfi Coast, Pompeii and the island of Capri!  This tour truly has it all!



Day 1 - Arrival in Venice - Private Transfer to hotel Welcome Dinner in Venice

Welcome to Venice, Italy! 

Upon arriving in Venice, whether at the airport, hotel or by cruise ship, we will be there to meet you and privately transfer you to your hotel in Venice, just off of St. Mark's square. Situated in one of the most well known and scenic parts of Venice, this is a wonderful area where you will have time to settle into your hotel and enjoy a welcome refreshment at your leisure.

This evening, enjoy a fantastic welcome dinner in Venice with a delicious assortment of local dishes that can be tailored to any dietary needs.

Your first night will be spent in Venice.

Day 2 - The Venetian Lagoon & Islands of Murano, Burano and Toricello Afternoon Tour

Where we visit : Venice
Enjoy the morning at your own pace and a leisurely buffet breakfast at your hotel. You might choose to visit the Doges Palace, the various and intriguing areas of the city or simply enjoy the wide range of fantastic shopping.

There are plenty of memories to be made in this culture-rich and vibrant landmark!

In the afternoon, depart at 14:15 (2:15 pm) from St. Mark's square by boat to the islands of Murano, Burano and Torcello, home to picturesque, colorful villages and local traditions.

The Venetian islands are world class islands full of culture, enchantment, and history.

Murano island is well known for it's famous glass-making. As of a few centuries ago, glass makers were required to live on the island to protect their glass-making secrets! There is a museum you can visit and many local treasures to be discovered and explored.

Burano island is full of beautiful canals lined with colorful homes. Burano island is well known for its artisanal lace, and is home to a strong tradition of lace making. While there, consider enjoying some of the freshest fish found on the islands!

Torcello island is quieter and greener. Much of it the island itself is a nature reserve. It's a beautiful place to visit to get away from the crowds or enjoy a nice calming stroll. 

Return to Venice in the evening for dinner at your leisure and overnight.

Day 3 - High Speed Train from Venice to Florence

Where we visit : Florence
After breakfast at 11:00 am, we will transfer you to the Venice rail station where you will board your high speed train to Florence. Once arriving in Florence, you'll have the chance to enjoy the city on your own time. 

Florence's historical center is small and ideal for exploring on foot! Enjoy this utterly irresistible city by visiting the Uffizi Gallery, the famed and stunning Duomo, strolling across many of the beautiful bridges "ponte", and don't forget to rub the nose of the brass pig for good luck!

Day 4 - Historical Walking Tour of Florence including the Accademmia Gallery

Where we visit : Florence
Enjoy breakfast at your hotel and prepare for today's itinerary: a walking tour of the Accademia!

Learn about Florentine life, to life during the time of the Romans, through the Middle Ages, to the Renaissance.

Visit the Accademia Gallery, home to Michelangelo's David, boasting as the most famous statue in the world. Learn what inspired the statue and what it represents. Learn not only about his work, but his life. Witness and explore other unfinished works by Michelangelo.

Further explore other works by Botticelli, Ghirandaio, Pontormo, and other great artists from the 13th to 16th centuries.

Day 5 - Private Tour through Tuscany en-route to Rome with Wine Tastings and Lunch

Where we visit : Florence
After breakfast we depart Florence for the spectacular Val D'Orcia in Tuscany. Val D'Orcia is a Unesco world heritage site and home to some of Italy's most sought after wines like the Brunello di Montalcino. We will visit a few wineries and some of the towns in the area like Montalcino, Pienza, Montepulciano and several others which offer spectacular views over the Tuscan landscape.

En-route to Rome, we drive through the region of Umbria known as Italy's green heart. Truly spectacular! 

Upon arrival in Rome, you will head to your hotel located in the historical Roman center, just walking distance to the Spanish Steps, Trevi fountain, Borghese gallery and too many wonderful monuments to count right outside your door!

Dinner at leisure in Rome and overnight in Rome.

Day 6 - Vatican Elite Walking Tour - with Pick up at the Hotel - Afternoon at Leisure

Where we visit : Vatican City
The most beloved place to visit in Rome, explore Vatican City by seeing St. Peter's Basilica, the Sistine Chapel, and the Vatican Museums. Skip the lines and enjoy these must-see destinations while visiting Vatican City, home to the Pope

From the Sistine Chapel and the Raphael Rooms, to St. Peter's Basilica with Michealangelo's ​Pietà and Bernini's baldachin. 

A truly special day in the eternal city of Rome.

Day 7 - Ancient Rome: Collosseum, Circus Maximus, the Roman Forum

Where we visit : Rome
Enjoy your morning at leisure in Rome today.  Then, in the afternoon after lunch, we pick you up at your hotel to begin your tour of Ancient Rome. 

We will explore the famed oval amphitheater known as the Colosseum located in the heart of Rome, once used for gladiatorial contests and public spectacles.

Enjoy the stunning Circus Maximus, an ancient Roman chariot-racing stadium and entertainment venue in Rome. Situated between the Palantine and Aventine hills, it's known as the first and largest stadium in ancient Rome. 

We will also see the Roman Forum, a plaza that is surrounded by the ancient ruins that used to be important government buildings of the ancient Roman city. 

It's a pretty special experience to imagine what life was like then!

Day 8 - Train to Naples: Private tour of Pompeii en-route to the Amalfi Coast

Where we visit : Pompeii
Following breakfast at your hotel in Rome, you will be transferred to the Rome rail station to board your high speed train to Naples. Our driver will meet you at the platform at the rail station to bring you to Pompeii, situated on the Italian sea coast at the southeastern base of Mount Vesuvius. 

In Pompeii, you will enjoy a privately guided tour of one of Italy's most important archeological ruins.  

With Pompeii having been buried in 79 ad by Mount Vesuvius, this ancient city has a truly fascinating and resilient history to discover and learn!

Day 9 - The Gardens of Ravello and Paestum

Where we visit : Amalfi Coast
Following a buffet breakfast at the hotel this morning, we will take you up to one of the most beautiful gardens in the world - the Villa Cimbrone. Located in Ravello, you will have time at your leisure to explore these magnificent gardens.

Following Ravello we head to Paestum, one of Italy's most important archeological sites where you will have the chance to visit a Mozzarella di Buffala producing farm where lunch will be served!

A truly unique and special experience! 

We will return to the Amalfi Coast i in the afternoon for time at leisure and overnight.

Day 10 - Optional Tour to Capri - or Day at Leisure

Where we visit : Capri
This is an optional tour day. We can help you organize a variety of things to do. Either enjoy the day at your leisure, exploring the surrounding area or take a day trip over the island of Capri, or the island of Ischia, famous for its natural healing spring waters. You could also enjoy an Italian cooking course or enjoy one of our famous wine tours on the Amalfi Coast. 

There is plenty to explore and we are here to help organize what may inspire you! 

Farewell dinner will take place this evening in Amalfi.

Day 11 - Private Transfer to Naples Airport or Rail Station for Departure Home

Where we visit : Naples
After breakfast, we will come to get you at your hotel and privately transfer you to the Naples airport or rail station. It will now be time to say our goodbyes and arrivaderci! We are confident you will have had a wonderful time and will take many fond memories home with you for the years to come. 

You may wish also to extend your stay in Italy and head south onto Matera, Puglia, Calabria or Sicily where we have other wonderful opportunities and services waiting for you!
