Overview

A day trip to the Dolomites will allow you to experience the most beautiful part of the Alps and is a great chance for young families to stretch their legs.

Your driver will meet you at Piazzale Roma at the entrance to Venice and take you to the north through the beautiful Veneto countryside, famed for prosecco production.

During the day, you'll see great forests and alpine lakes, as well as glaciers in the distance. Stop at Pieve di Cadore, birthplace of the great Venetian painter, Titan and Cortina d'Ampezzo, Italy's most fashionable ski resort. Here you'll have time to wander around and enjoy the town.

In the afternoon, you'll stop at Misurina Lake, where you can enjoy the wonderful Alpine air and marvelous views of the mountains.

The drive back to Venice will take you via Auronzo and Logarone. Along the way, you'll be able to see the infamous Vajont Dam in the distance. The tour will end back at Piazzale Roma.
