Villa Lante, Gardens in Italy

Villa Lante is located in the region of Lazio about 1 hour North of Rome in the region of Viterbo and it is a MUST see for garden lovers since it represents one of the most perfect examples of Italian Renaissance Water gardens. 

Visiting these gardens is an incredible experience from start to finish and is a place we consider to still be one of Italy's best kept secrets.  For those coming off of a cruise from Civitavecchia who have already been into Rome and do not wish to go back, this makes a great day trip and offers insight into Italian architectural and landscape design.

Though visiting with a guide is not necessary, they can bring the history of this extraordinary property to life and we highly recommed it.
