Torre Dell'Orso is a beautiful coastal town on Puglia's eastern coast, which is by far one of the most striking in Italy. It is also one of the longest and offers dozens of different cave grottoes like the 'Grotto Della Poesia' which is walking distance from the town atop the gorgeous cliffs which hem the coast.

The town itself is typical of the area with a few hotels, seafood restaurants and a central piazza, which during the summer invites pedestrians to shop, take a drink and enjoy the glorious scenery.

The beaches here are truly spectacular, offering white sand and transparent waters. A very popular tourist resort with Italians during the summer months, prepare to book early.

From May to November the water can be warm enough for swimming, though the best times to visit as with many places in Italy are June and September.
