Our Wonder Woman tour of Italy starts in Naples and ends in Bari. It includes 2 nights on Italy's Amalfi Coast with a visit to the Villa Cimbrone in Ravello where the initial scenes from the film took place, followed by an excursion to Capri.  Heading south we visit the stunning beach of Palinuro, then move over to Matera in Basilicata and finally to the wonderful Castel del Monte in Puglia.

Our Wonderwoman tour of Italy starts in either Rome or Naples, depending on where you are landing and ends in Bari. Day 1

After arrival in Rome or Naples today, we will meet you at the airport or rail station and privately transfer you to the town of Amalfi on the Amalfi Coast where you will have time to settle in and enjoy a wonderful welcome dinner.

Day 2

Campania, Amalfi Coast, Ravello

This morning after a buffet breakfast at the hotel, your driver will pick you up and you will head up to the beautiful Villa Cimbrone at Ravello where some scenes in the movie were filmed.  Here, you will have time to wander through the gardens, take pictures and enjoy some truly outstanding views of the Amalfi Coast, the whole of which is a protected UNESCO World Heritage site.

Following our time at the Villa Cimbrone, we will also visit the beautiful cascading Rufolo Gardens nearby, known as the 'Garden of the Soul'. 

Lunch today will be at a local agriturismo where you will enjoy local products and delicious home-cooking.  In the afternoon, the tour will continue along the Amalfi Coast to the delightful town of Positano.  Throughout the day, your driver will show you the best vantage points to enjoy the view and get some incredible pictures of this wonderful scenery.

At the end of the afternoon, your driver will drop you back at the hotel and you will have the rest of the evening to yourselves.

Day 3

Campania, Capri

Following breakfast this morning we depart Amalfi town for the island of Capri where you will enjoy a full day boat tour of the island including the marvelous Blue Grotto.

Lunch on-board today.

Return to Amalfi in the evening for dinner at leisure and overnight. 

Day 4

Campania, Cilento Coast Puglia, Bari

This morning after breakfast we head down to the spectacular Cilento Coast, stopping firstly at the archeological ruins of Paestum which is home to some of the best preserved Greek ruins in Italy.

From here, we head to the plains of Palinuro where many scenes in the movie were filmed and you can enjoy some spectacular sites of a marvelous coastal area. 

After lunch, drive across Italy to the region of Puglia, where you will be staying at Park Hotel Elizabeth where you can enjoy a typical Pugliese dinner in the restaurant, before turning in for the night.

Chapter 2 · Days 5–6

Welcome to Puglia

Day 5

Puglia, Polignano a Mare Basilicata, Matera

This morning after breakfast the drive takes us south to the region of Basilicata and the ancient town of Matera.  This intriguing city has been continuously inhabited since the 10th century BC and in recent years, it has been the backdrop for many movies, including the island of Themyscira in Wonder Woman.  Visit the 'sassi of Matera', dwellings and churches which have been dug from the local rock.

From here, we head back into Puglia to the gorgeous town of Polignano a Mare, a spectacular coastal setting with gorgeous photo opportunities.  Here you will have the opportunity to explore the town and enjoy dinner, before we take you back to the hotel for the night.

Day 6

Puglia, Castel Del Monte

Castel del Monte & Bari

After breakfast you will check out of the hotel to journey north to our final stop of the tour and one of Italy's loveliest castles.  Once the hunting lodge of Frederick II, the octagonal-shaped castle enjoys an incredible view out over the surrounding countryside.

As the tour comes to an end, our driver will drop you off in Bari at the airport or train station for the next leg of your journey.

Hotels

1. Hotel Sovestro in San Gimignano was wonderful. The staff were very friendly and helpful and made the first portion of our journey very stress free. They made us feel like we were part of their family. I would recommend it to anyone and would specifically ask for it if we were to make a return visit.

2. Hotel La Baia in Monterosso was nice and it's location was very good especially for us older folks humping luggage from/to the train station.

3. Hotel Lucchesi in Florence- what can I say expect FANTASTIC. The rooftop view at sunset is well worth it. Again very friendly and helpful staff. Would recommend it to everyone.

Wine Tour

Money well spent. We had a great time overall. The driver Mario was OUTSTANDING. He had lots of local knowledge as well as about winemaking. USE HIM AGAIN!!!

The various wineries we visited on tour:

Altesino- fantastic and they were not cheap on their pouring. Great experience.

Azienda Agricola Patrizia Cencion Sloaria- Again a great tour by one of the owner's daughters. We felt like we were the only thing on their mind although there were other customers there. A great way to complete the day.

Again we had a fantastic time and are very appreciative of everything you booked for us. We wish you continued success and if our travels should bring us back to Italy, we know who to call.
