Overview

Paestum is one of the most well-preserved of the Greek ruins in Italy. Located about 1 hour south of Salerno and the Amalfi Coast or 2 hours south of Naples, the site is most certainly well worth a visit. This tours offers a guided visit of the temples here and an opportunity to visit some of the Mozzarella di Buffala factories located in the area and it's a great opportunity to learn more about the history and culture of southern Italy.

The tour departs from either Sorrento or any location on the Amalfi Coast as well as Naples and it offers guests the opportunity to see Salerno, one of the largest ports in the Campania region as well as the countryside which is dotted with farms and vineyards.

Paestum was one of the most important ancient sites in Magna Grecia "Greater Greece" when the Greeks first conquered Italy. The temples are some of the largest in Italy and those who have previously seen Pompeii will notice a significant difference between the two ancient sites.

This tour is a full day tour and includes Mozzarella di Buffala tastings, entrance fees to Paestum and a guided tour here.
