Note:  We advise those wishing to visit Venice pre-or-post tour to experience our Natural Venice immersion programs which are dedicated to the rich wildlife and culture in the Venetian Lagoon which even if you have visited Venice prior will be a totally different and incredibly rewarding experience for you. 

Following our departure from Venice, we depart for Verona and the southern end of Lake Garda home to the marvelous town of Sirmione situated on a peninsula guarded by a medieval castle we must cross to enter the town.  See a detailed description of the day by-day itinerary below.

Day 1

Arrival to Venice - Private transfer to Verona and Arena tour - Welcome dinner.

We will meet you today in Venice either at the airport or another location in Venice to begin our journey to Verona which is one of northern Italy's most ancient and important cities, also considered to be one of the most romantic according to William Shakespeare, for it is the setting of Romeo and Juliette. 

We will enjoy a guided tour of the ancient city and one of the largest Roman Amphitheatre in Europe. 

Welcome dinner this evening in Verona with an orientation to the Valplicella wines this city and region are famous for and are considered to be some of the very best wines in Italy.

Chapter 2 · Days 2–2

Day 2

Full day tour of Lake Garda visiting Sirmione - Riva del Garda & Limone sul Garda.

After a wonderful buffet breakfast at the hotel this morning, we depart Verona for the town of Sirmione approximately 45 minutes driving from Verona.  This is a gorgeous town and a must-see destination in Northern Italy.  

From here, we will drive around the entire Lake Garda visiting some incredible sites around the lake like Lazise, Bardolino, Limone sul Garda and numerous others which offer glorious vista after vista of the lake. 

Time for lunch and hopefully some wine tastings during the day before heading back to Verona in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Day 3

Check out hotel by 9 AM to go stopping in Bassano del Grappa and Thermal Spa experience with overnight in Trento.

This morning you will check hotel by 9 AM getting ready to visit Bassano del Grappa for the famous liquour to try and then continuing to the thermal area of Levico where you will take sometimes to chill out at the Spa and then taste the Valsugana soup, typical of the area. Evening at leisure in Trento and overnight here.

Day 4

Full day skiing in Madonna di Campiglio and wine tasting with light dinner in Trento.

This morning after breakfast by 9 AM you will head to Madonna di Campiglio, one of the prettiest towns of the region. You will have all day skiing and enjoying the marvelous mountains. Return to Trento in the late afternoon to join a wine tasting and eat a light dinner. Overnight in Trento.

Day 5

Full day in Merano & Tirolo - Thermal SPA & shopping with lunch.

This morning after breakfast by 9 AM you will head to one of the biggest thermal SPA in the region to relax as well as visit the town of Merano and Tirolo where you will walk, shop, drink and eat enjoying the beautiful and interesting Tirolese traditions in the Trentino Alto Adige region.Return to Trento and overnight there.

Day 6

Check out hotel & full day skiing in Val Gardena - Ortisei & Canazei, with overnight in San Candido - Dolomites.

This morning you will check out hotel by 9 AM to get ready enjoying a full day in the mountains skiing around one of the most well-known area of Northern Italy named Sellaronda ski circuit in the Val Gardena. After an enjoyable and memorable time here you will reach San Candido and spend the evening at leisure with overnight at the Parkhotel Sole Paradiso.

Day 7

Full day visiting Natural Parks with beautiful lakes surrounded by.

This morning by 9 AM you will be ready to experience this wonderful lake district such as Brajes,Dobbiaco,Misurina and the town of Villabassa where a very famous Italian fiction "One step to heaven" was filmed here.

You will spend all day admiring the landscape and the national parks in this area as well as a luxury area with the town of Cortina d' Ampezzo which is one of the most preferable Italian's destination. Return to the hotel with overnight here.

Day 8

Full day skiing in Alta Pusteria - Sesto & Val Fiscalina in the Natural Park of Tre Cime.

This morning after breakfast by 9 AM you will go skiing up Alta Pusteria and explore the natural park of the Tre Cime.

Return to the hotel and evening at leisure with overnight in San Candido.

Day 9

Full day visiting Val Pusteria Bressanone, Rio di Pusteria & Brunico with farewell dinner at the hotel.

Hotels

1. Hotel Sovestro in San Gimignano was wonderful. The staff were very friendly and helpful and made the first portion of our journey very stress free. They made us feel like we were part of their family. I would recommend it to anyone and would specifically ask for it if we were to make a return visit.

2. Hotel La Baia in Monterosso was nice and it's location was very good especially for us older folks humping luggage from/to the train station.

3. Hotel Lucchesi in Florence- what can I say expect FANTASTIC. The rooftop view at sunset is well worth it. Again very friendly and helpful staff. Would recommend it to everyone.

Wine Tour

Money well spent. We had a great time overall. The driver Mario was OUTSTANDING. He had lots of local knowledge as well as about winemaking. USE HIM AGAIN!!!

The various wineries we visited on tour:

Altesino- fantastic and they were not cheap on their pouring. Great experience.

Azienda Agricola Patrizia Cencion Sloaria- Again a great tour by one of the owner's daughters. We felt like we were the only thing on their mind although there were other customers there. A great way to complete the day.

Again we had a fantastic time and are very appreciative of everything you booked for us. We wish you continued success and if our travels should bring us back to Italy, we know who to call.
