Overview

Santa Maria di Castellabate is beautiful seaside town, just south of Agropoli, one of the first coastal towns to greet you on the Cilento Coast. It is the marina of Castellabate Alta - the (higher village), which is set further up in the hills, also in a spectacular setting!

When we visited here, it was sunset and we could see in the distance the islands of Capri, Ischia and of course the Amalfi Coast further north, however what we noticed here was the beautiful white sand beaches and hardly any tourists at all.

This was by far one of the most romantic and beautiful towns we visited on the Cilento coast and one that we will be returning to again more and more regularly, for it was truly beautiful.
