The Overview
Homer's story of the Odyssey recounts Ulysses' escape from the lure of the sirens just off the coast of Campania. According to tradition, the three sirens, Leucosia, Ligeia e Parthenope, were so distraught about their failure to conquer the hero that they allowed themselves to drown in the sea. It is said that Punta Licosa was named after Leucosia for this very reason.
This villa is located inside a protected nature reserve, to the south of Paestum, in a location which offers the chance to truly experience the allure of ancient Mediterranean culture and the traces left by the same, which offer a constant reminder of its ancient splendor. In the past, this stretch of coast was a crossroads of ancient civilizations, from the Lucani to the ancient Greeks, to the Romans.
The villa is located right on the coast, in the shade of a pinewood lapped by the sea, inside a private protected nature reserve. The nature reserve is located along the stretch of coastline that runs from Ogliastro Marina to Punta Licosa, and is characterized by uncontaminated nature, crystal clear waters and a lighthouse. The villa has its own private pebbled access to the beach with a platform for sunbathing. Nearby, around 150 meters away, is a marina for mooring boats and, opposite the beach, a private island with the lighthouse.
In the spacious garden (approx. 5,000 sq. meters), there is a swimming pool with deck chairs and loungers, a gazebo with sofas and a table, and various corners in which to relax. A large terrace, shaded by pine trees, is furnished for eating “al fresco”.
The villa has air conditioning in the ground floor bedrooms and ceiling fans in those on the upper floor, satellite TV, DVD player, docking station for iPod, and free Wi-Fi connection.
The Cilento Nature Park, where Punta Licosa is located, features seaside landscapes as well as splendid medieval villages that have managed to preserve their ancient traditions, uncontaminated countryside, the majestic Greek Temples of Paestum and many excellent local food and wine products. This is an area where nature offers its very best.

- A breakfast service can be organized on request (Italian Breakfast or Continental Breakfast) and a chef for light lunches or suppers.
- Cost of chef for groups of up to 6 people: €150 per meal, food and beverages extra, or for groups of up to 14 people: €200 per meal, food and beverages extra.
- Before arrival it is possible to request a shopping service (the cost varies according to the quantities requested, payment to be made upon presentation of the till receipt)
- Upon arrival guests can leave an extra deposit of €1000 in cash for food shopping, to be supplemented during the stay
- Electricity consumption in excess of 300 KW per week
- Payment of the deposit accepted by credit card or bank transfer only (through the Ville in Italy agency)
- Extra maid service: €15/hour
- Additional linen change.
