Selinunte is both a resort town and ancient Greek site in south west Sicily located approximately 45 minutes from Marsala and Sciacca,

The ruins here are definitely a stop to make if you want to experience some of Italy's most impressive Greek ruins located right on the water.

However, take note that this site is enormous, almost 10 km walking in circumference and if you don't want to make a full day out of this stop, then it's best to go with the golf cart service to get around.  They can bring you from temple to temple where you can have more time to admire the stunning coastal views and browse the ruins themselves, otherwise you will end up walking for a good part of the day! 

The beaches of Marinella, which run along the coast, look up to some of the temples here, however most of the site itself is only accessible by entry into the archeological park itself and the park is enormous, hence our suggestion for guided golf cart tour, which you do require to book in advance and of course we can help you do!
