Overview
Lake Iseo (also known as Sebino), is the fouth largest lake in the region of Lombardia one of Italy's most prosperous northern regions. It is less than 25 km north of Brescia, though about 2 hours from Milan. It sits mid-way between Lake Como and Lake Garda.
A popular resort area for visitors from the major industrial centers of Bergamo and Brescia, which are heavily industrialized and wealthy towns, so weekend escapes to this lake similarly to Lake Como and Lake Garda are popular activities and the lake has a notable tourism sector with pretty medieval towns home to some lovely hotels which look out on the clear lake surrounded by lush green mountains.

The lake is home to Montisola Island, Loreto and San Paolo which make up an island municipality in the middle of the lake.
It is possible to drive around the lake and take in divine views from numerous directions for a road has been carved into the side of the mountains that circumnavigates the entire lake.
