Villa Castrum takes its name from the Castle (or Castrum) of Cortine, whose history was already documented in 1037.

The Overview

Villa Castrum takes its name from the Castle (or Castrum) of Cortine, whose history was already documented in 1037. The Villa stands in a dominating position in the heart of the region of Chianti Classico, an area where Etruscans and Romans have fought many duels. The electrically operating entrance gate gives access to the private area featuring a private car park for 3 / 4 cars, the luxuriant Italian garden, the garden of the olives and the outdoor private swimming pool, for the exclusive use of the guests of the Villa. The main entrance leads to the frescoed main hall, a large and light living room with several sitting areas, a magnificent fireplace and a piano; the ground floor also features the country-chic kitchen equipped with a large cooking hob, oven, microwave oven, espresso coffee machine, fridge with freezer, dishwasher, wood stove, the dining room with vaulted ceiling and fireplace, the relaxing TV room, one double bedroom with private bathroom with shower and one additional bathroom with bath tub. A side door leads to the private garden and to the swimming pool. The washing machine is housed in a closet near the side door. The upper floor houses two double bedrooms, both with en suite bathroom, two twin-bedded rooms, one additional bathroom. A balcony, accessible from two bedrooms, runs along the façade of the Villa offering an amazing view of the Tuscan countryside and sunsets…. When rented with 7 bedrooms, an inner door will be open to connect the Villa to its dependence featuring one double bedroom with en suite private bathroom, one twin-bedded room, one toilet, one kitchen equipped with fridge, freezer, oven, dishwasher, Italian coffee machine Moka, dishes, washing machine.
