This superb Villa near Lucca is located in the medieval town of Camaiore, a medieval village of the Versilia area renowned for its ancient churches and whose history is bound to the Via Francigena. This elegant country-seat was built in the 16th century following the model of the villas of Lucca. Enlarged during the centuries, the villa was last renovated in 2006 with particular attention in maintaining its traditional characteristics. The house is on 3 floors and is elegantly furnished with top-quality fittings and still preserves vestiges of its ancient grandeur in the ornaments and stuccoes. A flight of steps leads to the main door and upper ground floor with lounge, a large dining room, fully equipped kitchen, a small living room with TV and a reading room. In the look-out basement there are 2 double bedrooms, 1 single bedroom and a bedroom with a double bed and a single one, all with en-suite bathrooms fitted with shower, and a laundry room. On the first floor there are 4 double bedrooms all with en-suite bathrooms fitted with shower. One of the double bedrooms can be transformed into a second twin bedroom. All bedrooms have air conditioners. There is also a workout room. The garden outside houses a large swimming pool with furnished deck, barbecue and a very spacious garage. Access to the villa is by means of a short, narrow uphill road. Catering service or chef available. Situated in a somewhat dominant position, this villa with pool in Camaiore, offers guests an enchanting view over the nearby town and surrounding hills. Although embedded in a context with other houses, the villa retains a discreet privacy. The accommodation is in an excellent position for visiting many Tuscan art centres and medieval hilltop villages as well as the beautiful seaside resorts of Lido di Camaiore and Viareggio at just 13 km. Lucca is only 20km away. Pisa 30km, Florence 95 km.
