This morning we will depart from Rome to Naples where we will enjoy a panoramic city tour of this sea-side port town which is full of contrasts and surprising beauty. From Naples we will continue on to to Pompeii where we will visit the ruins with a local English speaking guide.

After our walking tour of Pompeii we will enjoy lunch in a typical restaurant before beginning our descent along one of the most spectacular coastlines in the world, towards Sorrento the jewel of the Sorrentine Peninsula, famous for the cultivation of lemons, oranges and olives.

In Sorrento there will be time at leisure and dinner as a group that evening.

Day 2

Today will begin with an early departure to the island of Capri a veritable treasure trove bursting with natural beauty. With its stunning panoramas and dramatically beautiful coastline, the island offers many charms and inspires history lovers, photographers and foodies.

Weather permitting we will visit the Blue Grotto before enjoying lunch in a local Trattoria.

Over the course of the day we will visit Anacapri and there will be time for shopping and free time to experience the island at your leisure.

We will return to Sorrento at approximately 5:00 PM where you will have time to enjoy a swim before dinner at the hotel in the evening.

Day 3

This morning you and your travelling companion(s) will enjoy a privately guided excursion down the Amalfi Coast.

You will stop in the beautiful and colourful town of Positano and other villages en-route to Amalfi town. There will be ample photo opportunities of what is considered by many to be the most beautiful coastline in the world.

Upon arrival the hotel G.H. Excelsior in Amalfi, you will have time to relax, enjoy a swim and prepare for a delicious dinner on the hotel's spectacular terrace.

After a delicious buffet breakfast at the hotel, the rest of the day is yours to explore the Amalfi Coast at your leisure. You can choose to take a local bus up to the town of Ravello or take a dip in the Mediterranean.

Dinner will be served at the hotel's fantastic restaurant overlooking the Mediterranean.

This morning you can take time to enjoy a buffet breakfast and the morning at leisure. Chances are you will not want to leave the incredible scenery the Amalfi Coast is famous for.

In the early afternoon we will begin our descent up the Amalfi Coast back to Pompeii and then onto Rome.

Traffic permitting, estimated time of arrival in Rome will be approximately 09:30 PM.

Hotels

1. Hotel Sovestro in San Gimignano was wonderful. The staff were very friendly and helpful and made the first portion of our journey very stress free. They made us feel like we were part of their family. I would recommend it to anyone and would specifically ask for it if we were to make a return visit.

2. Hotel La Baia in Monterosso was nice and it's location was very good especially for us older folks humping luggage from/to the train station.

3. Hotel Lucchesi in Florence- what can I say expect FANTASTIC. The rooftop view at sunset is well worth it. Again very friendly and helpful staff. Would recommend it to everyone.

Wine Tour

Money well spent. We had a great time overall. The driver Mario was OUTSTANDING. He had lots of local knowledge as well as about winemaking. USE HIM AGAIN!!!

The various wineries we visited on tour:

Altesino- fantastic and they were not cheap on their pouring. Great experience.

Azienda Agricola Patrizia Cencion Sloaria- Again a great tour by one of the owner's daughters. We felt like we were the only thing on their mind although there were other customers there. A great way to complete the day.

Again we had a fantastic time and are very appreciative of everything you booked for us. We wish you continued success and if our travels should bring us back to Italy, we know who to call.
