Overview

If you are on a cruise that stops at Civitavecchia and you want to explore Rome in just one day, there are a few things you need to keep in mind. Firstly, the port is quite far from the city, so it's recommended to have a driver waiting for you as soon as you disembark to make the most of your shore excursion. Your driver will take you straight to the city center so you can experience as much of Rome as possible in one day.

During the day, you will have private guides to take you through the Vatican Museums, the Sistine Chapel, St. Peter's Basilica, the ancient city, including the Colosseum, and Rome's most famous monuments. Your local driver will ensure that you move quickly around the city, pointing out places of interest along the way.
