The Overview
Cattolica is a very elegant and distinguished town. It is a pleasure to stroll along the tree-lined avenues filled with stores and welcoming venues where it is possible to savor an aperitif or enjoy an ice cream, or to stop off for a while in the fully refurbished piazzas decorated with fountains that have water and light play features.
In the last few years the beach of Cattolica has literally changed its face. It has been completely renewed and features innovative services such as swimming pools on the beach, guaranteed fun for the kids! Plus there are whirlpool baths, water play installations and water slides, along with the classic sunbed and beach umbrella hire services.
Cattolica really knows how to entertain its guests: the leisure hours and evenings are packed with events, exhibitions and festivals. Forget the car, everything is just a few steps away – even the shops in the center of town.
One unmissable trip is a visit to the Acquario [Acquarium] of Cattolica, the big sea theme park. There are also many excellent fish restaurants thanks to the large marine fleet that delivers fresh fish every day.
Villa Alessandrini is situated along the seafront promenade, the most exclusive part of the town, and directly overlooks the beach, in front of the bathing establishments.
It was built in 1895 as a holiday home for an aristocratic family from Bologna. The recent renovation work has maximized the villa’s rare architectural features. It is distributed over four levels with spacious indoor and outdoor areas and has a beautiful view of the sea. The furnishings are of high quality and the villa has all mod cons: air conditioning, except on the lower floor, WI-FI internet, large covered car park, well-equipped kitchen, large indoor and outdoor dining areas.
LOWER FLOOR: (accessed from the garage as well as via the internal staircase) living-room; spacious dining room; kitchen with dishwasher, oven, refrigerator and freezer; 1 downstairs bathroom; laundry room with washing machine and tumble drier.
GROUND FLOOR: spacious living-room; entrance that leads to the terrace with sea view as well as to the veranda at the rear which overlooks the garden and is furnished for eating “al fresco”.
FIRST FLOOR: 1 double bedroom and bathroom with bathtub and shower; wardrobe; study that can be furnished as a double bedroom and shares the bathroom with the double bedroom on the same floor.
SECOND FLOOR: 1 double bedroom with walk-in closet and bathroom with shower and bathtub; 2 double bedrooms that share a bathroom with bathtub.
