Description
Pisa is one of Italy's largest university towns, set on the Arno river and it's the first stop of our day on this tour of northern Tuscany.
Following our stop here, we head to Lucca, which is surrounded by ancient medieval walls and home to wonderful piazzas and centuries of history. Giacomo Puccini, the composer was born in Lucca and often you can hear opera being sung throughout the town.
In Lucca, you will have time for lunch and shopping before we head through the Tuscan countryside, with time permitting we will stop in Montecarlo, a small hamlet famous for wine where you will have the opportunity to taste a few local products.
In the late afternoon we return you to your final destination.
