This is a full day tour that explores the countryside just north of Rome which is home to some of the most beautiful countryside in Italy and some of the most magnificent Renaissance gardens like the Villa Lante. Instead of driving into Rome which is 1.5 hours (on a good traffic day) from Civitavecchia, why not experience the beauty of the Italian countryside on this full day tour and make Rome a part of a holiday that you can enjoy at leisure?

Our tour from the port of Civitavecchia (the port outside of Rome) is a tour that no other company offers and we recommend it to people as an alternative to visiting Rome from here, since getting in and out of Rome is not only time consuming, but also very expensive. It's about a 3 hour round trip journey from your cruise into Rome and we really recommend if you have more time to take a Roman holiday and not just visit the city as part of an off-shore excursion.

On this tour, we visit the Villa Lante , some of the most remarkable gardens in the Lazio region and one of the finest examples of Italian Renaissance garden works. The gardens are enormous and beautiful at every angle.

During the day, we also visit Tarquinia and Viterbo, which are 2 beautiful medieval villages which offer sweeping views over the countryside.
