Overview

Fregene is a small beach-side community located outside of Rome. It is where many Romans have large villas and expansive gardens. There are over 30 beach lidos in Fregene, most with restaurants on the sea-side. It's a beautiful town where the film-maker Federico Fellini use to live and Like many who come to Fregene, he too had a love affair with the town and invited many of his friends to come and enjoy the atmosphere of Fregene.

. Here, the sky-high pine trees line the roads and opulent Roman villas with exceptionally beautiful gardens line the charming streets. Cafes, bars and wonderful shopping is to be had here, though what makes Fregene so exceptionally beautiful is the Mediterranean Sea itself.

The sunset hour is always spectacular and many beach clubs offer a sunset 'apperativo' experience which is a relaxing experience, one you don't want to miss. Check out our recent video from summer 2019 below.

Very few people ever make it to Fregene, but it's a real treate to visit becuase it's a place where you can experience authenticl Roman culture and life, for many Romans to this day come to enjoy the beaches and relaxing atmosphere of Fregene, where you can sit under the cypress trees and gaze at the beautiful blue Mediterranean sea.
