Day 1

Italy, Sicily, Catania Malta, Sliema Malta, Valletta

Fly to Malta and private tour of the City Capital - Valletta and its surroundings with welcome dinner.

Today you will depart from Catania airport and you will board on and fly directly to Malta at 1:15 PM in order to land to Malta by 2:10 PM  (1 hour journey approximately).

Once you have arrived to the island reaching Valletta the Capital, you will be going straight on a private tour of Valletta with our official guide Charmaine visiting the Cottonera also named "The three fortified cities of Senglea Vittoriosa and Cospicua and the Sant’Angelo Fort area which is part of that.  After the tour you will be privately transferred to hotel Victoria.

This morning after breakfast by 9 AM the tour will be including a full day excursion with private driver to discover the beauty of this magical Island! . We will visit the charming fishing village of Marsaxlokk whose waterfront is decorated with traditional colorful fishing boats called "luzzi"! Free time to stroll along the streets of the city center and browse among the stalls of the famous local market.

Continuing you will visit the town of Wied iz-Zurrieq where you may additionally have a chance in case the sea is not too rough to embark on an excursion sea towards the famous Blue Grotto , a beautiful and picturesque natural cave whose system of caves surrounding reflects the fluorescent colors of the underwater flora. Along the coast you may continue until the quiet cove of Wied iz-Zurrieq. Our provided tour will continue on board of a private vehicle in the direction of Dingli through the Maltese countryside. Then you will continue in the direction of the Golden Bay in Mellieha, one of the most beautiful beaches of the island with the Popeye Village located nearby !!! 

Free time to enjoy the place and for a refreshing before returning to the hotel with evening at leisure and overnight here.

Day 3

Malta, Gozo

Today after breakfast at 9 AM we will get to the ferry area in Malta and reach Gozo island in 30 minutes. As you have arrived there you will spend your time with a private driver guide taking you around the island to visit sites such as Ggantija Temples and Ta Kola Windmill in Xaghra, those two areas are very close to each other.

You will then drive off from Xaghra to Victoria City and get to Grand Castello area for lunch and a pleasant walk in the pretty town of Cittadella to get a feeling of the area and also visit the old prison. After that you will return to the ferry and be back to Malta at the hotel for the evening at leisure with overnight here.

Day 4

Malta, Valletta

Hypogeum & South of the island temples including Mdina previous old Capital of Malta island.

Today after a delicious buffet breakfast by 8 AM, you will start your spectacular and memorable day visiting the Hal Saflieni hypogeum http://heritagemalta.org/hal-saflieni-hypogeum/ and then go south of the island admiring Hagar Qim Temples which is an old ancient ruined area built in 3200 B.C.

You will also have a chance to visit Mdina which is the old Capital of Malta island admire the Domus Romana with our official guide Charmaine. Return to teh hotel and overnight here at the hotel Victoria.

Day 5

Malta, Valletta

Day at leisure in Malta & Farewell dinner.

Today you will have a chance to get up whatever time you wish and enjoy Malta as you prefer and have our farewell dinner in order to celebrate this unique experience done together learning a lot about the island.

Day 6

Malta, Valletta

Private transfer to the airport.

Today you will have a private transfer from the hotel to the airport in order to fly back home.

We just returned from our most wonderful vacation to Italy and wanted to first thank you for putting together such a wonderful trip, and second to provide some feedback for the future.

Hotels

1. Hotel Sovestro in San Gimignano was wonderful. The staff were very friendly and helpful and made the first portion of our journey very stress free. They made us feel like we were part of their family. I would recommend it to anyone and would specifically ask for it if we were to make a return visit.

2. Hotel La Baia in Monterosso was nice and it's location was very good especially for us older folks humping luggage from/to the train station.

3. Hotel Lucchesi in Florence- what can I say expect FANTASTIC. The rooftop view at sunset is well worth it. Again very friendly and helpful staff. Would recommend it to everyone.

Wine Tour

Money well spent. We had a great time overall. The driver Mario was OUTSTANDING. He had lots of local knowledge as well as about winemaking. USE HIM AGAIN!!!

The various wineries we visited on tour:

Altesino- fantastic and they were not cheap on their pouring. Great experience.

Azienda Agricola Patrizia Cencion Sloaria- Again a great tour by one of the owner's daughters. We felt like we were the only thing on their mind although there were other customers there. A great way to complete the day.

Again we had a fantastic time and are very appreciative of everything you booked for us. We wish you continued success and if our travels should bring us back to Italy, we know who to call.
