As the sofa in the logo suggests, Il Salotto di Penelope is a place where you can learn to prepare and meet people with various customs, hobbies, and interests. As a result, "Chiacchiere/chatting" frequently replaces "Cucina/cooking." In 2010, Barbara and a friend of hers made the decision to start this adventure with the goal of developing a location where people can come together, exchange experiences, and take pleasure in a comfortable and enjoyable environment. They desired to use their abilities as well as the years passed developing a love of cooking and exploring new flavours and aromas.

Il Salotto di Penelope has discovered its ideal location in Bologna's "la grassa," the same historic building where the Simili sisters taught brides-to-be how to roll pasta in the 1970s. "We fell in love with the atmosphere as soon as we stepped foot inside one of the Bolognese case di ringhiera's long courtyards and heard the echoes in the room's broad arches. We chose to turn that space into our living room because it was love at first sight ".

The team has shifted today, but its spirit has not. Pietro, an engineer with a deep love of cooking who has made it his career, is standing next to Barbara.

The cooking school has developed and grown over the years by providing its Italian and international clients with catering, home chefs, delivery, and an online store with fresh pasta and items from the Italian eno-gastronomic heritage.
