Peschiera del Garda is so colorful against the back-drop of spectacular it quite literally makes your eyes pop-out of your head as you step back to take it all in! The gorgeous homes and buildings are all painted in vivid shades of yellow, pink, orange, red and various others all of which stand out in all their vivid glory against the lake which is a Kool-aid blue. It is quite literally a 'sight for sore eyes' as some would say.

The town itself is a resort town only 25 minutes driving from and which are some of the more well known locations in the area, however is a stop you do not want to miss on , not only for its beauty but also for its historic importance. The 16th-century Porta is one of the gateways in the walls that ring the historic center.

The (Historic Palace) 'Palazzina Storica' Museum houses frescoes and WWI objects. Across the Mincio River, the Madonna del Frassino Sanctuary features 16th-century cloisters. Water birds inhabit the nearby Lago del Frassino nature reserve.

It has throughout history been an important get-away for the rich aristocrats from and nearby in-land towns.
