Experience the Magic of Christmas in Italy
Where to Spend Christmas in Italy?

Christmas In Italy

Cities and Towns in Italy

Christmas is by far one of the best times of the year to visit Italy.

With mild temperatures all over the coast and in the major cities like Rome, Florence and Venice combined with remarkable light displays and Christmas markets, if you were ever thinking of coming to Italy, Christmas can be a surprisingly beautiful time to visit Italy.

It is not only the art capitals like Florence, Venice and Rome which offer tremendous light displays and incredilbe Christmas markets.   Each town and city all over the country celebrate Christmas time in their own way usually with prolific light displays.  In most instances the town or village's main piazza has an incredible nativity scene and the feeling of Christmas can be felt and smelled all over town!

In the Christmas markets, beautiful Christmas tree ornaments that are hand made are sold.  There are rides for children, musicians, magicians and sometimes even Santa shows his face for pictures.  All of the Christams markets are free to attend and offer a great experience for families both young and old.

Christmas is a magical time in Italy and in many instances a more economical time of the year to visit.  It's also a chance to really get to see "authentic Italy" because it's mostly the locals who create and attend these events.  Not a lot of tourists know quite how beautiful Itay is during the Christmas season or even during the winter months.

Italy Group Specialists highly recommends celebrating Christmas and New Years in Italy.  For families, lovers, friends and children of all ages, the magic in Italy at Christmas time will leave you with a lasting impression.

Client Testimonials

I went to high school with the owner of the company who organized my honeymoon for myself and my now wife from Tokyo. We spent three short weeks seeing Piedmont and experiencing wine paradise there, then heading to Nice in France with our private driver and flying to Rome where honestly 4 days is NOT enough. They keep saying to spend more time and we could not agree more! You need to spend more time in many of these places. Over the course of our time in Italy we saw so much and loved it all, though Sicily and the Mondello estate they had at us, 2 minutes walk from the prettiest beach in the world was our favorite and Roberto the owners there who know Jess and her team made it so wonderful for us! We are planning on going back and even considering moving to Italy we had such a great time!
