Overview

The Trabocchi Coast (Costa Trabocchi in Italian), is a beautiful stretch of coast located in Italy's Abruzzo region on the Adriatic coast that stretches from Ortona in the Province of Chieti to San Salvo, just south of Vasto.

It is home to numerous coastal towns and coves as well as reefs where fishing has been an important part the local economy and gastronomy.

The area is home to a number of unique fishing structures known as 'Trabucco' - fishing machines on piles which dot the coast, many of which have become restaurants themselves.
