Villa Magia
- Type: Villa
- Occupancy: 12/20
- Location: Sorrento
An internal cave leads from the swimming pool to the sea.
The very first information regarding the land occupied today by the garden of Villa Magia dates back to the first century A.D. In that period, Agrippa Postumus built a sumptuous dwelling there, embellishing it with valuable marble and precious Greek and Egyptian works of art.
Â
Over the years Villa Magia has hosted some very important personalities from the world of literature and beyond such as Ovid and Torquato Tasso.
From 1943 to 1945 it was the residence of Benedetto Croce, built in a neoclassic style, filled with stunning views of the landscape and elegant architectural works. It is furnished using unique pieces realized by the great maestros of the past that enhance each ambient with a touch of style.
The antique paintings, just like all the other antique objects, are unique and for this reason maximize every environment with originality, making the house unlike any other.
Â
The villa is situated in the center of Sorrento, along the road that leads to Marina Grande, the old fishermen’s port that still maintains its traditional character but which, over the years, has undergone a gradual yet pleasant evolution and is famous for its good restaurants.
Â
The villa has all mod cons: heating, air conditioning, WI-FI internet connection, satellite TV and a safe in every room, Chef and domestic staff, night watchman.
Â
The villa also has a lift/elevator which goes from the car park up to the second floor.
