In the heart of Ortigia, the ancient island soul of Syracuse, Algilà Ortigia Charme Hotel occupies two restored Baroque palaces that have watched over these streets for centuries. One holds a beautifully kept fourteenth-century courtyard and staircase, opening onto the old Mastra Rua where Siracusan nobility once lived. The hotel is a mosaic of fifty-four rooms, each one different, each thoughtfully designed with a warm Mediterranean touch.
