The Overview

The Orcia Cottages are situated in the stunning Orcia Valley, near Pienza, Montepulciano, and Montalcino. The Val d'Orcia was added to UNESCO's World Heritage List in 2004 and was celebrated by painters from the Siennese School during the Renaissance.

The cottages are located on a local farm that produces its own crops, providing an authentic experience with gorgeous views of the landscape, a fantastic swimming pool, and friendly owners who have raised their small family and many animals in the farm-steads around.

Images of the Val d'Orcia, particularly depictions of people living in harmony with nature, have come to be seen as icons of the Renaissance and have profoundly influenced the development of landscape thinking. For centuries, this farmhouse has been a part of this land where wheat stretches, olive groves, genista, oaks, clay earth, and Mount Amiata together establish a unique natural context.

Each apartment can accommodate up to 6 adults with three double bedrooms, two and a half marble bathrooms with tub and shower, a large sitting room with an original stone fireplace, a DVD player, satellite TV, and Hi-Fi, an oven, a dishwasher, a microwave, a hair dryer, a glassed-in portico, and a private outdoor area with a breathtaking view of the Val d'Orcia.

These apartments are ideal and very reasonably priced for families and groups of friends.
