Overview
Discover a dream come true in Tuscany. The Orcia Valley, also known as Val d' Orcia in Italian, is a UNESCO World Heritage site that is preserved under national and international law. It is considered to be one of the most beautiful places in Europe. When you visit this area, you will feel like you have stepped into a living, breathing postcard, where the land seems to stretch forever in peaceful rolling yellow and green waves.
On our private full-day tour of this area, we will take you to visit the entire valley as well as the beautiful hilltop towns. These towns are famous for producing wines and cheese in the areas. It will be an unforgettable experience that you will cherish forever.
Towns we visit include:
Afterward, we will travel through stunning territory to reach Pienza. This small town was unknown until one of its local sons, Pope Pius II, made it his mission to turn his birthplace into a utopia. Pienza is now known as the ideal Renaissance town and is famous for its pecorino cheese. We will have some time to stop and try this fantastic cheese.
Finally, we will arrive in Montalcino, the home of Brunello di Montalcino. While visiting the town, you can stop at the enoteca inside the old fortress if you would like to taste some of the wine.
The day can be adapted to include visits to one or more wineries in the area and may be modified depending on where we are picking you up from.
