Description

Why is it that Italy has been considered time and time again to be one of the most healthy countries in the world?  In a nutshell, it's all about balance.  Balance working.  Balancing eating.  Balance eating. Balance drinking.  Surprisingly with all of the wonderful foods and wines one can find in Italy, very few people in Italian society every over-do it.

On this tour we explore some of northern Italy's "health sanctuaries", incredible places for seniors who want to rejuvinate just as the astronauts who have explored space come to do in these amazing thermal spa locations after they return from space because their bodies are all out of alignment and often very sore from being in outer-space, so many come to Italy to rejuvenate their bodies.

We believe that the natural healing waters in Italy are wonderful for aging seniors, since not only do the healing properties of the minerals help the body, they also provide a sense of ease and well-being and increase the metabolism.

For thousands of years the Romans and before them the Greeks have been using the natural hot-springs to cure a variety of ailments and restore well-being!  We think that travel professionals who help clients can help a variety of aging seniors and get the message out about the wonderful impact of the natural thermal springs all over Italy, but particularly on this trip we will also have the possibility to experience amazing foods, wines and gorgeous scenery in the culinary capial of Italy - Emilia Romagna!

Where we visit : Castelli Romani, Emilia-Romagna
As our week in ancient Etruria comes to an end, we offer our guests the option of continuing their exploration of the wonders of Central Italy, by joining us for 4 more days in Emilia Romagna.

From Villa Tuscolana, we will drive north, stopping along the way for lunch, arriving in the afternoon at the 18th century Palazzo di Varignana Resort and SPA, just outside Bologna, where you will have the rest of the afternoon to visit the site and enjoy the spa facilities.

Emilia Romagna is famed for its food and this evening you’ll get to see why as we enjoy a welcome dinner of local cuisine in the spa’s poolside restaurant before spending the night in the fabulous 18th century villa.

Client Testimonials

This company really knows their stuff and recommended our family to stay longer in each location. We didn't listen to them, but wished we had in every single place we went. They recommended Sestri Levante over the Cinque Terre which was our favourite destination on our entire trip. We visited Rome where we stayed in the outstanding Hotel Locorno where they know the owner there, like in every place we went. It made a difference in Italy when they knew who had arranged our trip, like they gave us special treatment or something.

We are planning on going back to Italy in 2020 and definitely having the IVS team organize everything!
