Description

Our small group tour of Florence is an excellent option for first time visitors to Florence who want to experience first hand the legacy of the incredible Italian artists, craftsmen and architects who made Florence into one of Europe and the world's most important centers for creativity and innovation.

With a local English speaking guide you will get to experience explore the historic and architectural evolution factors from the Roman foundation through medieval centuries and its Renaissance glorious period up to modern time Florence. Stop for a surprise “tasting”, and learn about the culinary and wine aspects of our unique cuisine.

During your tour you will visit some of the most important spots where the greatest minds and artists have stood and been inspired: Piazza della Signoria, the Duomo, the Baptistery, Santa Trinita and Orsanmichele Church, Pontevecchio Bridge, the secret Vasari Corridor and much much more.

Following our historical walking tour of Florence, we will then head to Accademia Gallery museum with a fast-track priority entrance ticket and discover the original Michelangelo's masterpiece that has become the symbol of Renaissance splendor. The David.

The David was sculpted by a very young Michelangelo (in his twenties) entirely from a single block of local Carrara marble and it's 5.17 metres tall (17 ft). It represents the biblical hero David that killed Goliath and when it was unveiled, in 1504, it soon came to symbolize the defense of the civil liberties embodied in the Florentine Republic.  You will have the possibility to admire it from every perspective, gaze in awe at David, that dominates the central gallery of the museum and in addition to the David you will also have a chance to visit Michelangelo's famously unfinished sculptures - Prigioni and San Matteo.

The Accademia Gallery houses also many other masterpieces, both paintings and sculptures, from the Middle Ages to Renaissance, by the greatest artists, like Botticelli, Paolo Uccello, Andrea del Sarto and many more, which you will discover with your knowledgeable English-speaking guide.

During the tour you will have time to enjoy a Gelato and ask the guide many questions.

Jesse,
There are no words to describe the fabulous time we had in Italy. Everything went as you promised. Absolutely no problems! The venues were fabulous. The guides were punctual and helpful. It couldn't have worked out better. You and your staff deserve high praise for the quality and efficiency of your work. BTW, Guiseppe was an absolute delight. We enjoyed his informative and effervescent personality he was a hit with our group. The serenading was an added bonus! Our stay in Calabria went well too. Thank you for all your work and coordination for making this dream come true for us! If any of us travel there again, you will surely be hearing from us. I will not hesitate to recommend you to others as well. Ciao for now,
