Description

Italy might be famous for its history and art, but this certainly doesn't mean it's boring!  From fascinating, secret histories, to energetic activities, this itinerary will keep your kids engaged.

Starting in Venice, you'll spend a lot of time on the water in this unique city.  The most interesting way to see the city will also keep you away from the crowds and rather than sitting in a gondola, you're going to learn to row one!!   In Florence, discover the secret passages and hidden rooms of the Medieval City Hall and learn to make pizza - a fun skill you can use again when you get home.  Stop on your way to Rome to hunt for truffles in Tuscany, then eat your way around the Eternal City.  Do some light homework in the Coliseum, as you learn about the ancient Romans and their emperors.  In Pompeii, you'll see what a Roman town really looked like, and what people were doing on the day it was destroyed.  After so much hard work, reward yourselves with a day sailing around Capri in your own private boat before it's time to say arrivederci Italia!
